🚀 New Feature

Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) Single Sign-On

Organizations can now authenticate users with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory), providing an additional Single Sign-On (SSO) option alongside existing authentication methods.

To setup, go to Admin → About / Settings → Identity Providers and fillout the necessary credentials.

Examiner Memo Permissions

Added an optional system setting that allows examiners to edit memos created by other examiners.

Stats Explorer Enhancements

Stats Explorer now supports grouping and filtering by Expense Type and Expense Subtype, providing greater flexibility when analyzing expense data.

Configurable Agency Assignment for Directory Users

Administrators can now control which agency is assigned to new AD/LDAP and Microsoft Entra users upon their first login. Separate settings are available for internal and external users, allowing each user type to receive either the system default agency or a specifically selected agency.

These settings are available under Admin → About / Settings → Identity Providers and do not affect existing users.

🌈 UI Changes

Based on customer feedback, we've updated the evidence cards in the Case Dashboard and Case Manager to make evidence assignment easier to recognize at a glance. Improved color coding and visual indicators help distinguish evidence states more clearly, making it faster to scan cases and identify what needs attention.

We've also enhanced evidence tooltips with additional assignment, location, completion, review, and status information, refined the evidence legend, and made several UI adjustments to create a cleaner and more intuitive experience viewing the status of your evidence.

🐛 Bug Fixes

Expense Management

  • Fixed missing system values after editing an Expense Type.
  • Fixed an issue where the cost of a list item created in the List Manager for an Expense Consumable could not be adjusted to include cents when creating an expense for a case or evidence.

Device Lookup

  • Fixed missing images in Device Lookup Pinouts & Attachments.

Lab Submission

  • Fixed Lab Submission login for agencies using logos.
  • Fixed the Lab Submission Manager login button when Azure Communication Services is configured.

Active Directory & Microsoft Entra ID

  • User names and email addresses are now automatically updated when changed in Active Directory or Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Active Directory and SSO users can no longer change passwords within xBit DCM.

Case Manager

  • Fixed an issue where the Case Manager displayed an error in the Case Status Activity column after adding evidence to a case that had previously been assigned an approval status.
